Literature Text

The little dwarf prince ran with all his might through the large, stone hallways of Ered Luin. His heart was beating faster than a hurricane's fierce winds. In his mind there was an epic battle going on all around him, and he was the courageous and heroic leader who led his men to victory in a glorious manner. He imagined he was facing down a tall, pale Orc, just like in the stories Uncle Thorin always told. Little Kili was pretending to be a kingly warrior, just like his uncle.
"Fear me, pale Orc warrior of Gumdaband!!! I mean, Gundabad!! Do you fear death, Orc? I, the rightful heir to the throne, do not! I shall sway you in one mighty fell stroke! Die! DIEEE!" Kili shouted, as he faced his imaginary opponent with a fierce temper and scrunched up face. He flicked his invisible weapon around in fancy strokes, "Now, Baruk Khazad! Baruk Khazad!" The hero charged into battle, leading his legions and legions of dwarven fighters behind him. He jumped around, to and fro, grunting and shouting. "Die! Khazad ai-menu!"
"Today, you shall fall at the hands of Kili, King Under the Blue Mountains, magnificent ruler of Ered Luin and her faithful peoples! Die beneath my sword, worms!" Kili hollered hoarsely, his childish voice ringing throughout the halls. Dwarves passing by looked upon the scene and snickered and laughed, but kept quiet, as they did not want to upset the little dwarf prince in his play. He thought of himself as an extremely brave and heroic leader in the dwarven army. He even claimed that he had slain the mighty Azog!
As Kili fought and feigned battle wounds, Fili came up the hallway with a raised eyebrow. Realizing his brother didn't know of his presence, Fili sneaked along until he came just a few inches from the "wounded" Kili. Fili stuck his arms out and abruptly tickled at Kili's stomach. The poor victim immediately shouted out and and jolted up and about, "Stop it, Fili, stop it! That really tickles!"
Kili could barely surrender with all of the giggles coming from him. A huge smile grew on his face and he managed to open his eyes and look into his brother's.
"Fili, stop it! Stop that tickling!"
Fili grinned widely and took his hands off of his brother's tummy and instead rubbed his messy, brown locks of hair. He had tousled it here and there in his fictional battlefield.
"Oh, Kili, what a fine mess your hair is in. Let me fix it..." Fili told his little brother as he worked out some tangles. Kili looked at Fili and blushed a little, "I can't help it, I'm a warrior, not a dwarven lady!"
Fili giggled quietly at his brother's remark, but soon after frowned in discovery of something, "Kili, where's your silver hair clip? It's not in your hair!"
Kili gasped and and frowned in a panic, "My clip is gone? My pretty little silver hair clip?!" He got onto his hands and knees and scanned the cold floor hurriedly, "I have to find it! It must've fallen off while I was fighting!"
Fili joined the search and studied the floor very carefully. They searched and searched but could not find anything. They were about ready to give up when Thorin walked into the vast stone hallway.
The sunlight was shining in upon him, and a few feet ahead he saw something shining and glinting in the last rays of sunset. He bent down to pick it up and realized it was a silver clip like the ones he had given to his nephews. Thorin smiled warmly when he saw the two boys on the floor, who were almost in tears.
As he approached them, neither of the little dwarves had noticed him. Thorin bent down and picked up Kili, holding him in his safe, warm arms. Kili was a bit shocked at first, but quickly realized who it was. He frowned and looked deeply into his Uncle's blue, solemn eyes.
"...Uncle Thorin, I lost something special, and we can't find it..." Kili explained, tears welling up in his big, brown eyes, his wavy loose locks flowing unrestrained in his face.
Thorin smiled and lifted up his big hand to Kili, revealing the silver clip. Kili opened his mouth in joyful surprise, "Oh, Uncle, thank you so much! Where did you find it?"
Thorin gently placed the excited little dwarf onto the floor and told him quietly, "Well, I have my ways, little prince..." He kissed Kili's head softly and winked at Fili.
Fili ran up to Kili and took hold of his hair to immediately begin fixing it. In less than a minute, his clip was back in place.
"Thank you, big brother..." Kili told Fili, giving him a brotherly embrace. Fili smiled and looked down at his little sibling: he loved him so much it was almost unbelievable. They had a strong bond.
"Big brother Fili? Will you please carry me to a bed? I was mortally wounded when you interrupted my fight." Kili said with a silly grin.
"I guessss..." Fili replied with a little laugh erupting within him. He carried his brother on his back and brought him to his bed.
"Wait, don't put me down yet" Kili told his brother as Fili was getting ready to sit down. "I want to keep riding instead! I want you to be an eagle like in my storybooks!"
Fili cracked a smile and said, "Alright, if you like. We can pretend we're high up in the clouds, where no other dwarf has gone!"
Kili giggled and put his arms up into the air, "Most dwarves like the ground, but I like the open air!" He made his own sound effects of "Whoooosh" and "Wwwwhhheeee".
Fili imitated eagle sounds as he flew through the stone corridors. The two brothers played and played until they both fell to the floor exhausted, in a heap.
"I love playing together, Fili! Can we do this everyday?" Kili asked his brother exasperatedly. Fili answered with a smile, meaning "Sure, little brother, sure..."
Well, here's another little fan fiction thingy with Fili and Kili and such. I typed it on my iPod once again, so beware for improper indentation. :XD:

This one is about Kili and how he wishes to be a strong and noble warrior like his Uncle Thorin one day. :)
